— Antenna —
Mike asked Doug if he had heard anything back on the antenna on the short tower. Doug
said that he has not after sending emails so will have to study problem more for a fix.
— Cables —
Mike said that him and others came out and ran the cables to the tower and radio room.
Thought there was a problem while Doug was running a fish tape thru the conduit. Seem
to be a blockage at the bend in the concrete which we hoped was not a break or leak in of
concrete. Andy went home to get a shop vac and he had a bore scope at his house that
he went to get. While gone Andy worked a smaller vac hose in with the fish tape and it went
thru. When he got back he used the scope to see what was going on. Nothing was spotted
so it might have be the lip of the joint. Whatever was going on the cables got pulled and are
now ran and hooked up. Mike said the ends need to be put on and Doug said that he had
come back the next day and put them on so the station in operational.
— ve test session —

for. There was 1 tech, 1 general and 1 extra. Chris said that Bernie was there and passed

with. He would only have his ht but would like to do some other test while down there. No
one thought they would be going so Chris said he would contact some of the hams down
in the location he would be located to see if any want to help in his operation.
— legion meeting —
Ken Whitehouse said the the next Legion meeting was going to be next tues ( aug 1st )
and all club members were welcome to attend. It starts at 7:00pm.
— BSA —
George Coomer said the national jamboree was still going on and he had tried to make

on 20 and 40 meter bands during day and was not sure about night time. The call that is
being used is K2BSA.

things. If some one would like to bring chips what will do. If someone feels like we need more and are willing to bring other things please do. Members need to let Chris know to keep a list on what is coming.

interested in learning more.

The man he talked to at the company offered to send a new antenna, balun, and accessories. He wanted pictures of the antenna being taken down and put back up. Doug has emailed the man twice and the man has not responded. If he does not get the new antenna Doug said he will try other options.
Field Day was described as being AWESOME! We were 3A. Total points were 3420. Last year it was 3004. The GOTA station made 78 QSO’s. We had 1350 in bonus points-including battery power charged by a solar cell, a training session, public area, a display table, news article, Boyle EMA Mike Wilder, Mercer county Sheriff, State Commander of American Legion and Former Commander of American Legion. These all added points to our total score.
Field Day was a total success. We had the State Commander of American Legion and Former Commander of American Legion visit. Tony Cromwell from Post 46 was also in attendance. Many people brought food for a picnic and Ken Douglass and Tony from the American Legion cooked hamburgers and hot dogs.

1. Full- American Legion
2. Legion sons
3. Associates members of Post 46
Full membership- you served in wartime periods.
Son- You did not serve but father or mother or grandparent did serve.
For full legion members you will start getting emails in July from National until December. This will be paid $30.00 by check and mailed to Post 46. Then they send to National.
Legion sons-next month in July you will receive emails requesting dues of $20.00 to be paid to Post 46.
Associates- Not a member of American Legion. You will pay $30.00 to the WRARC treasurer (Ken Douglass). Check is made out to WRARC for 2018.
WRARC will get rebates. This year it was &600 plus $200. WRARC gets no money for full memberships. Local Post money only goes to National.
