Marshall also has sent in the warranty card and has it listed at repeaterbook.com. Marshall and Doug KA4SWT are still going to try some things to improve the signal coverage of the repeater. Alan KM4EGH, John K4OH, John K4FT and several scout leaders were there to make this possible. Special Thanks to Rey Ruiz KM4DYA in Fort Walton Beach Florida for answering our CQ and being a great mentor on the air! A good time was had by all.

NEW BUISNESS

Repeater Site

Doug KA4SWT, Marshall K4UKB and Jere K4FUM went to the repeater site to check on the repeater with a spectrum analyzer belonging to K4FUM. They found the repeater putting out 13 watts and transmitting slightly off frequency (which was corrected). There was substantial interference when the top antenna was used so it was put back on the lower antenna. After trying several different things they feel that the antenna would work better if it was reoriented on the tower or if a stand-off was used to get the antenna farther away from tower leg. Plans are to work on it when the weather gets warm. Thanks to Jere (K4FUM) for bringing his test equipment from Atlanta and assisting in the testing.

ARRL International DX Contest

Activity Manager Bill W9WA announced that the club will participate in the SSB version of the ARRL DX contest this Sunday March 8th starting at noon at the club station. Come one, come all!
