John K4OH has corresponded with Boyle county Judge Executive Harold McKinney via email. John had several questions concerning the availability of our future use of the former Red Cross building answered. John read the email at today’s club meeting. While the answers to the questions were mostly favorable, we are still awaiting the results of the final discussions between Boyle county and the Red Cross.
John K4OH brought in the application papers that needed to be filled out for purchase of the new repeater. We were able to get the application filled out with the help of the club members attending. Marshall K4UKB will submit the application and pay for the repeater. He will be reimbursed from the club treasury. Members have donated toward the repeater, if you would like to help with a donation please contact Treasurer Zenah KK4IYY.
Alan Goble KM4EGH is with Boy Scout troop 27 and wants the club to help with their Radio Merit Badge. John K4OH is awaiting more information from Alan to determine the best way this can be accomplished. Please support Alan and John as they work toward making this happen.
W4CDA has talked to W1AW/P in each of the 50 states in SSB, CW & RTTY and will apply for a $60 plaque when they become available. After uploading the Field Day logs our point total is now 5,411 points. Because of overwhelming participation the awards have been delayed until March.
