Past activities:
The WRARC Coffee Social was held at Red Rooster 4 members and 1 guest attended.
Participated in the CQ WW RTTY Contest 4 members and 2 guests attended.
The weekly WRARC OTA club nets were held
The American Legion Boyle Post 46 meeting was canceled due to the weather.

Old Business:
We still need to have someone to take over Club website updates.
New Business:
Cave City Hamfest on 3/7.

The Post will be participating in the July 4th 250th anniversary Parade in Danville.

Future Activities:
The WRARC Coffee Social is scheduled for Friday, March 6 2025 (1st Friday of month) at
0900L at Red Rooster. Who is going to attend?
The weekly WRARC OTA club net is each Wednesday evening at 2000L on the club’s 2m
Repeater: 145.310 MHz with -600 kHz offset and Split PL Code 100 Hz (i.e. 100 Hz on both
Tx CTCSS & Rx CTCSS).
Next monthly general meeting of The American Legion Boyle Post 46 at 1900L hours on
Tuesday, March 3rd, 2026 (1st Tuesday of the month).
The March activity will be the ARRL SSB Contest on 3/7. We’ll start at 1300 at the club room.

Next VEC Testing: Saturday, April 25, 2026 starting at 1000L at The American Legion Post 46 building, 45 Spears Lane, Danville, KY. See http://www.wrarc.com/ve-testing/ for details. Pre-registration is requested but not required. Chris Galbreath will be point man for this one.

Next WRARC hybrid monthly club meeting will on Tuesday, March 24th, 2026 (4th Tuesday of
month) at 1930L and business session starting at 1930L at The American Legion Post 46
building, 45 Spears Lane

Cracker Barrel. 8 attended?
ARRL 10-Meter Contest on 12/13 from 1300 t0 1800 at the club room.
NA QSO Party SSB on 1/17 from 1300 to 1800 club room.
The weekly WRARC OTA club net is each Wednesday evening at 2000L on the club’s 2m Repeater:

Old Business:
Elections were held, all officers and one director reelected. Taylor Scott, (KA9CKI) elected replacing Ray
Whitehouse as the second bi-annual director.

New Business:
Current Membership number is at 37

Emergency Frequency protocol:
1) Use our repeater as normal operation
If the repeater does not function normally, use
2) Use the repeater output frequency and operate in simplex mode
Ken asked if someone could take over the club website. It has gotten more complicated than he is able to
figure out.
Dennis discussed the 3-3-3 recommended practice for emergency communications. Channel 3, 3 minutes
for listening/broadcasting, every third hour.

Future Activities:

Past Activities Report:
Club voted to make Model 747 Model HF Transceiver available to Burgin School Ham club.
Packet radio up now in the area on145.01MHZ. KY4RW-10, KF4FMQ-5, AF6MB-5

Old Business:
1) UPDATE: The club repeater was found to have feed line/connector issues and was taken off the air.
Temporary repairs have been made and the transmitter returned to service. Further evaluation and repairs
can be expected.
2) ONGOING: Now is the time for membership renewal for the 2026. Members can send a check
payable to American Legion Post 46 to:

Full legion members can renew online at: legion.org and click on the renew prompt follow the instructions.
Legion Dues are: Full Members $40, Sons of The American Legion: $20 and Associate Legion Members:
$20.
New Business:
ELECTIONS This month, November, time for annual elections. All offices are up for election, two of four of
the Directors are also up for election. A club quorum was present .

4) Activities Manager: Peter Rock (KJ4ND)

were elected.
Ken has requested that someone work with him to learn the workings of the treasurer’s position and
website maintenance. This will help to ensure continuity in our club.
