Monthly Meeting Minutes for July 22, 2025
Hybrid meeting via Dennis’ Zoom account. (Thanks Dennis!)
Meeting called to order by President Mike May (KF4FMQ) at 1930 hours EST.
Attendees: 8 attending members and 1 guest of 39 total: (A quorum was
present.)

Previous monthly meeting was Jun 24 2025. Motion to accept Minutes of
meeting as published (via email) by Peter (KJ4ND), 2nd by Bob (K3YQ). Passed
by acclamation.

Past Activities Report:
The WRARC Coffee Social was held scheduled for Friday, July 11 2025 at
0900L at Red Rooster.
The WRARC monthly club meeting was held on June 24.
Field Day was on June 28 & 29, app 5 club members attended. Thanks to Peter
for all your efforts.
Club activity on July 19 at 1400 EDT, North American RTTY Contest with 3 in
attendance. App 45 contacts were made
The weekly WRARC OTA club net is each Wednesday evening at 2000L on the
club’s 2m Repeater: 145.310 MHz with -600 kHz offset and Split PL Code 100
Hz (i.e. 100 Hz on both Tx CTCSS & Rx CTCSS).
General meeting of The American Legion Boyle Post 46 at 1900L hours on
Tuesday, July 1, 2025 (1st Tuesday of the month).
Old Business:
The Club Secretary position is open if someone is interested in taking on this
duty.
The monthly WRARC Club social Coffee will be on Friday July 11, 0900 at the
Red Rooster. Mike will send out an email to determine the number attending.
The date has been changed due to the holiday.
Field Day is on June 28 & 29, 6 club members are planning on attending. Setup
help will be needed on 6/27 @1000. Planning to be on air at 1300-1400 on 6/28.
Planning on having 3 stations set up for category 2A. Mike will check on the post
mowing schedule.
New Business:
The Club Secretary position is open if someone is interested in taking on this
duty.
The Bourbon Chase will be held on 10/3, runners are expected in the early
evening. The bulk of the runners arrive between 1700 and 2300. The city has
asked if we will be reporting the runners as we have done before. This requires
two stations be set up attended and then disassembled. A runner spotting
station at the Showroom parking lot on Lebanon Rd., and a display station on
Main St.. The runners’ bib numbers are transmitted to the receiving display
station via 2M packet. The teams can then see when their runners were seen
and prepare their next relay runner in a timely manner. Who would be able to
help. Mike will send an email to determine volunteers.
Next VEC Testing: Saturday, Jul 26 2025 starting at 1000L at The American
Legion Post 46 building, 45 Spears Lane, Danville, KY. See

required. Chris (KG4UQL) will be leading the VE team in Harold’s (AF6MB)
absence. Two people have signed up for testing.
July is time for membership renewal for the 2026. Members can send a check
payable to American Legion Post 46 to:

The North American QSO Party SSB will be on 8/16, we will start @ 1400 at the
club room.

After-meeting Presentation:
Rodd (N1CTK) brought in equipment from silent key Harry Mack (WA3UGW)
that is for sale. Prices for some items are marked, other items are at the
purchasers discretion. All monies are to be sent to Mr. Mack’s widow. Mrs
Mack’s address and thank you cards will be at the club room.
