Past Activities Report:

The WRARC Coffee Social was scheduled for Friday, May 1st, 2026 (1st Friday of month) at 0900L at Red Rooster. 3 attended.

QSO Party (Seventh Area) – May 2nd

The weekly WRARC OTA club net is each Wednesday evening at 2000L on the club’s 2m Repeater: 145.310 MHz with -600 kHz offset and Split PL Code 100 Hz (i.e. 100 Hz on both Tx CTCSS & Rx CTCSS).

General meeting of The American Legion Boyle Post 46 was held at 1900L hours on Tuesday, May 5th, 2026 (1st Tuesday of the month).

VEC Testing: Saturday, April 25, 2026 starting at 1000L at The American Legion Post 46 building, 45 Spears Lane, Danville, KY. See http://www.wrarc.com/ve-testing/ for details. Pre-registration is requested but not required. Three registered, two tested and one passed.

Old Business:

The Post will be participating in the July 4th 250th anniversary Parade in Danville.

We hope to be participating in the Field Day exercise, at the end of June. Discussed if we want to do that in a more public area than the pavilion at the Post. Also discussed if we wanted to be part of the 250-year anniversary. Regina has contact info for the city.

Chris had a price for additional club banners approximately $65 each when ordering 3. A motion was made to purchase 3 by Dennis, seconded by Peter, approved by acclamation. ( They have been delivered. $168.54 total )

Kentucky ARES group has a new leader.

Peter has received the Logbook of the World certificates and stickers the club has earned.

New Business:

Taylor Scott has agreed to take over Club website updates

Field Day – June 27, 2 responses from the club, nobody replied regarding 250th Birthday parade.

Does the club want to buy a new bulb for the projector (EPSON EMP-61110) Mike found? First we want to hook it up to a computer to see if we get anything.

Future Activities:

Kentucky QSO Party June 6th – 1PM at the club shack

Field Day is on June 27, on-air at 2PM, set up Friday, the day before. Peter will research some of the ways the club can get additional points, including a Fox hunt.

July 4th parade, Mike will send out email to find out who will be planning to participate.

MS bike ride is June 13 and 14 in Bardstown and they are looking for Amateur operators support.

paid to the ARRL through Log Book of the World. Dennis made a motion to get certificates,
cost would be about $22 per, not to exceed $120 total.

    Got a certificate for participating in the 2025 PA QSO Party, took #1 in our KY Section
    Burgin School Ham Radio club meeting Friday March 27. We hope to drill holes for new
    antennas then.
