Meeting called to order by President Mike May (KF4FMQ) at 1930 hours EDT.
Attendees: 10 attending members of 40 total: (A quorum was present.)

Previous monthly meeting was 27 AUGUST 2024. Motion to accept Minutes of meeting as published (via
email) by Peter (KJ4ND), 2nd by Bill (W9WA). Passed by acclamation.

Past Activities Report:

o Previous VEC Testing was: Saturday, 27 JUL 2024 at The American Legion Post 46
building, 45 Spears Lane, Danville, KY.
o Previous AMLEG Post 46 D-STAR NET (1st Monday of month) was on 2 SEP 2024 (1st
Monday of month) at 2000L hours.
o Previous monthly general meeting of The American Legion Boyle Post 46 was 1900L
hours on Tuesday, 3 SEP 2024 (1st Tuesday of month) was canceled.
o Previous Weekly WRARC OTA club net was conducted each Wednesday evening at
2000L on the club’s 2m Repeater.
o Previous WRARC Coffee Social was on Friday, 6 SEP 2024 (1st Friday of month) at 0900L
via ZOOM.
o Previous WRARC hybrid monthly club meeting was on Tuesday, 27 AUG 2024 (4th
Tuesday of month) at 1900L and business session starting at 1930L at The American
Legion Post 46 building, 45 Spears Lane, Danville and via ZOOM.
o Previous Club Activity: A 4 state QSO Party; Iowa, NJ, TX, and NH Contest on 21 SEP
2024 at 1700Z (1300L).

Old Business:

o WRARC Club Dues. Annual club dues for 2025 are now being accepted.
 Full Legion members are $40 and can be paid online with a credit card at
www.legion.org and click on “Renew”.
 Sons of the American Legion are $20 and can be paid by check.
 Legion Associate members are $20 and can be paid by check.
 All checks should be made out to “The American Legion Post 46” and mailed to
Ken Douglass, 108 Chandler Drive, Danville, KY 40422.
o As of today, 13 of 40 current members have already paid their dues for 2025.
o WRARC By-Laws update; More work to be done; Small working group to be appointed.
o Bourbon Chase is 1st weekend in OCT. See Andy’s groups.io email for details.
o Mike to send out email queries for Bourbon Chase & Coffee Social attendees.
o Chris & Doug’s antenna improvements at club room.

New Business:

o Next weekly WRARC OTA club net is each Wednesday evening at 2000L on the club’s 2m
Repeater: 145.310 MHz with -600 kHz offset and Split PL Code 100 Hz (i.e. 100 Hz on
both Tx CTCSS & Rx CTCSS).
o Next WRARC Coffee Social previously scheduled for Friday, 4 OCT 2024 (1st Friday of
month) at 0900L at Red Rooster has been canceled.
o Next AMLEG Post 46 D-STAR NET (1st Monday of month) is 2000L on 7 OCT 2024 on
REF56C via our local D-STAR repeater KM4OON, +5 MHz offset, 444.2375 MHz & no PL
tones.
o Next Club Activity: A 4 state QSO Party; NV, AZ, PN, & SD Contest on 12 OCT 2024 at
1700Z (1300L).
o Next WRARC hybrid monthly club meeting will on Tuesday, 22 OCT 2024 (4th Tuesday of
month) at 1900L and business session starting at 1930L at The American Legion Post 46
building, 45 Spears Lane, Danville and via ZOOM.
