Monthly Meeting Minutes for 27 FEBRUARY 2024 – FINAL RECORD COPY

Meeting called to order by President Mike May (KF4FMQ) at 1930 hours EST.
Attendees: 11 attending members of 42 total: (A quorum was present.)

Previous monthly meeting was 23 JAN 2024. Motion to accept Minutes of meeting as published (via
email) by Dennis (K3KZU), 2nd by Chris (KG4UQL). Passed by acclamation.
Treasurer’s Report:

Past Activities Report:
o Previous Weekly WRARC OTA club net was conducted each Wednesday evening at
2000L on the club’s 2m Repeater.
o Previous WRARC hybrid monthly club meeting was on Tuesday, 23 JAN 2024 (4th
Tuesday of month).
o Previous VEC Testing was: Saturday, 27 JAN 2024 at The American Legion Post 46
building, 45 Spears Lane, Danville, KY.
o Previous WRARC Coffee Social was on Friday, 2 FEB 2024 (1st Friday of month) at 0900L
via ZOOM.
o Previous AMLEG Post 46 D-STAR NET (1st Monday of month) was conducted on 5 FEB
2024 (1st Monday of month) at 2000L hours.
o Previous monthly general meeting of The American Legion Boyle Post 46 was 1900L
hours on Tuesday, 6 FEB 2023 (1st Tuesday of month).
o Previous Club Activity was the NA QSO Party RTTY held on 24 FEB 2024 at 1300L hours
at the AMLEG Bldg.
Old Business:
o WRARC Club Dues. 32 of 41 current members have already paid their dues for 2024.
o Discussed a special VE test session requested by Doug Rulon, teacher (KO4WDE) for
several of his Burgin Independent (school) ARC students (KQ4CWT). Date still TBD.
o The draft on codifying the shadowing club Treasurer duties was permanently tabled.
o Discussion on AmLeg Post 46 – WRARC Joint MOA: Chris (KG4UQL) will find original
copy believed to be in his possession. At that time, a Special Meeting of club officers
and directors will be called to deal with any updating issues with the MOA.
o Per Harold (AF6MB), American Legion dues will be going up in the near future.
New Business:
o American Legion dues will be going up in July 2025.
o Cave City Ham Fest this coming weekend.
o Historical W4CDA club activities list to be compiled for club website.
o Potential new member: Lou Hampton.
Future Activities:
o Next weekly WRARC OTA club net is each Wednesday evening at 2000L on the club’s 2m
Repeater: 145.310 MHz with -600 kHz offset and Split PL Code 100 Hz (i.e. 100 Hz on
both Tx CTCSS & Rx CTCSS).
o Next WRARC Coffee Social is on Friday, 1 MAR 2024 (1st Friday of month) at 0900L via
ZOOM.
o Next AMLEG Post 46 D-STAR NET (1st Monday of month) is 2000L on 4 MAR 2024 on
REF56C via our local D-STAR repeater KM4OON, +5 MHz offset, 444.2375 MHz & no PL
tones.
o Next monthly general meeting of The American Legion Boyle Post 46 will be at 1900L
hours on Tuesday, 5 MAR 2024 (1st Tuesday of the month).
o Next Club Activity is the ID and OK QSO Parties & 10m South America Contest to be held
on 9 MAR 2024 at 1300L hours at the AMLEG Bldg.
o Next WRARC hybrid monthly club meeting will on Tuesday, 26 MAR 2024 (4th Tuesday of
month) at 1900L and business session starting at 1930L at The American Legion Post 46
building, 45 Spears Lane, Danville and via ZOOM.
o Next VEC Testing: Saturday, 27 APR 2024 starting at 1000L at The American Legion Post
